Neil L. Anderson came to the mision!

Dear Family,

How is everybody doing? Man i had a great week! I hope you did too! Man like the subject says, Neil L Anderson came to the mission this last week. We got a voice mail friday night from the assistants telling us that we were having a last minute mission conference with him. So we had to get up at 430 to drive to Columbia to see him, we ALL got to shake his hand and Walter F. Gonzales hand who was also there. It was truly a wonderful experience he was so down to earth and lots of things he said were just so logical, i think lots of time we think there are going to tell us these AMAZING blow you mind things but they just tell us things so simple but helpful. I loved it. ALso this last week our Recent convert Vicki came to teach a few times. Man she is so cool, She just bore her testimony so much and she truly knows that this church is true. She came to help us teach this lady that we had never taught before that we had just contacted and said come back and so we went, but the lady really wasnt interested she just wanted to bash... haha So Vicki got a first hand taste of what we go through at so times. She was just like " Man if people would just give the Book of Mormon a chance and juts read it and pray they would know! But they just dont want to." She did so good and she helped fellowship this other sister who had come to church before for us but had been struggling to progress, but Vicki really helped hert and just took her under her wing. Man this gospel is beautiful. Man im just really loving this area. I really enjoy the branch the peopl are so great, they asked Elder Allred and I if we could sing at this Mother's Day dinner that they are having.... We were like UHHH Okay. haha Elder allred is doing great! I love the kid, i really have enjoyed serving with him, he has so much to offer, he is going to be great! Tip of Advice something that i just realized, especially because Vicki was a prime example of it. We can teach and teach and teach all day long, but... we can only do so very much, the biggest thing we have to focus on is helping and instilling the faith in people to ACT on there own. Like we teach them but we invite and hep them act, such as help them teach them in a way that they will want to read and want to pray. Teach by the Spirit simply, it is the most important teaching skill we will have. Also if you could please keep Marvin and Nuvia Ramos in your prayers there are a couple we have been teaching for a bit now and they are praying to know if they should be baptized, they have come to church lots but just dont feel ready. We taught them on Saturday and just basically read 2 Nephi 31 and did what i just said helped and taught them in a way so that they would want to ACT. We challenged them to come to church they next day with a prayer in there heart searching and looking to recieve there answer to be baptized. They didnt make it though, He got called to work at the last minute. But please keep them in your prayers. They are so cool. Man i talk to much. How is Ash doing these days? Im going to set her up with a missionary that is going home end of this transfer who is from Peoria he is an assistant here in the mission, he is a stud i love him. His name is Elder Mitchell Jones. So look out Ash... haha jk How about Clint and Traci how is the baby? Man i loved those pictures by the way that Jadyn and Harly made for me, they were so cute. Well I love each and everyone of you so much, keep up the hard work, because all things of worth are usually a struggle. But i love you so much, Grandma i love you so much. I was thinking about Grandpa this week and just how much i loved him, cause Presidnet mcConkie told us the story about his father's Death, i ll tell you it some day its a great story, but i was thinking about grandpa and how great an example he was. Man i miss him. I have 7 pills left like i said dad so i should be good for this week i think, thank you so much for taking care of that for me. Let me know if i can do anything for yall. Love ya

Love always,
Elder Riding
