First off, here's Michael's entry (submitted by his mom) for the newsletter that the moms are putting out so that some of his friends, also serving as missionaries, can keep tabs on how each other are doing.
Michael loved the MTC. The 2nd Sunday he was there he and his companion were called to be Zone Leaders, it was such a great opportunity to learn and serve his Brothers in the MTC. He had some really great memorable experiences and such an amazing place to have them in. Michael got to see Tate Brinton every day. They talked a lot and they talked in Spanish. Tate taught Michael the first lesson while they were standing in line for lunch. Michael also had the great blessing of singing in the Missionary choir for the Priesthood session at General Conference. He loved it, the General Authorities kept turning around and waving and some blew kisses to the Elders. Then Michael left at 3:00am the next morning October 6 to Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico. He called home from Texas and was so excited to get out to his mission. He arrived in Tuxtla Gutierrez Mexico at 10:30 pm. He said, "I got here at about 10:30pm last night and was greeted by my bright eyed and wide grinned President and his wife! They are so amazing and so kind I love them already and they are always smiling and so happy they are the best and I really am in the best mission on earth. Every day is so great and has so much to offer for us. A fire has been lit inside me that hungers to share this message to others! I love it! I know this church is true and I'm so thankful everyday for the blessing to be a part of it. I know the Lord has a purpose for all of us."
Great job Mom!
