July 13, 2009

Okay okay.... Ill write in english. haha We had a really good week though, but we only had one investigator at church it was kinda disappointing... But a new week starts today. Azucena loved church, she comes with her little boy, his name is Niko short for Nikolaus. He is so cute! he is a little stud, and just loves primary he has already made a bunch of little friends. Language barrier doesnt matter to kids, luckily Niko can understand english becasue of Tv. haha But Azucena is great she is really growing, she called up her fellowshipper on Saturday morning and just said how excited she was to come to church and how excited her son was to come as well. Also that she has been praying and reading and just feels so good, also that her husband is backing her up 100% in everything as well so that is definitely good. Hopefully we will be able to have her baptism this weekend, but its crazy this weekend is already transfer calls. There is a good chance i could be transfered as well. But i dont wanna go! but if i do i know thats where i need to be. You all know i have a testimony of that.

The other day we had a dinner appointment at a members house and they had a foosball table.. And we were playing on it for a little bit just waiting for dinner. And it was funny four missionary playing on it, it reminded me of the time when Dad Jr SCott and I played at Scotts house last Fourth of July haha and the table was just like shaking! it was so funny.

This week was good as well cause im really growing comfortable with my spanish. And can understand and communicate pretty well. I wanna get to where im 100% fluent though. Each free minute i have i study, I wish i wouldve studied spanish more when i was home though... I slacked too much. Now i just gotta make up for it. I carry a little notebook with me every where and write down anything i dont know then go study it later, Then i try and use different words each contact or each lesson. Just to push myself and grow my vocab.

Im glad you guys liked the pictures. haha There were some pretty good ones in there for sure. I got some pics from Jordan Clouse the other day he does look so good. My companion Elder Davis from the MTC i still write him each week, and i forgot to tell ya but like a a month or so ago he started training! man he was a way young trainer. He is such a stud. He got a son. haha He says he still tells all his companions about me. haha he is funny.

We also got a new ward mission leader here in Myrtle beach, he is a pretty young guy, like 26 or 27 and has a few kids, but he is really fired up about the work, we had a meeting with him last night and i love having meetings about how we want tyo better the work, it just gets me fired up. I always leave the meetings so pumped up. We got some big things planned. What we need in the church is members who are willing to go on splits with the missionaries, and support them and help them get refferals and leads. Missionaries should be permanent teachers, members are the finders. Because every convert that has a frined WILL stay close to the gospel. That is why member work is so crucial. We gotta talk to our friends. That is what the Lord expects of us. We have a great task but we are ready to meet it! We have the Lord on our side. It is our calling to warn our neighbor.

I love missionary work. This week was great. Ill hopefully have some really great news next week. Love you guys so much. Tell everyone hi, especially members of the ward! Tell grandma i love her so much, and give her a hug and kiss for me. Tell bishop and everyone hi. I love yall. I love this work. Portanse bien! Espero que tengan una buena semana!

Con Carino,
Elder Riding
